Small practices carry the heaviest documentation burden
Physicians spend 1.77 hours per day on after-hours documentation. 43% report burnout. Enterprise AI scribes cost $5,000–$12,000 per provider per year and require 60–90 day procurement cycles. Small practices can't buy them — and can't afford not to.
The cost problem
A human scribe costs $32,000–$42,000 per year per provider. Virtual scribes cost $1,200–$4,000/month. Enterprise AI scribes cost $208–$600+/month with multi-year contracts.
The access problem
Enterprise vendors (Abridge, Nuance DAX, Ambience) require IT teams, procurement review, and 60–90 day implementation timelines. Solo physicians can't navigate that process.
The trust problem
Generic AI scribes hallucinate findings, invent medications, and misattribute statements. Doctors can't trust notes they can't verify. ConvoClin's design partner program is specifically focused on solving this trust problem with physician feedback.
From conversation to chart in 3 steps
No training. No IT setup. No sales calls. Record, review, approve.
Record
Open ConvoClin in your phone or laptop browser and tap to start recording. ConvoClin captures the conversation with speaker diarization (Doctor vs. Patient) and medical-grade speech-to-text.
Generate
ConvoClin de-identifies PHI, generates a structured SOAP note using a specialty-specific template, and presents it for your review.
Review & Approve
Review the note, edit inline, and approve with one tap. Copy the note to your EHR with one click — native EHR writeback is on our roadmap.
Built for the way small practices actually work
Every feature addresses a gap that enterprise scribes ignore.

Frequently asked questions
- Is ConvoClin HIPAA-compliant?
- Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every practice at no additional cost. All PHI is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We never use PHI to train third-party models. All sub-processors sign BAAs before any PHI is processed.
- What is the design partner program?
- We're onboarding 5 design partner practices in Q1 2026. Design partners get ConvoClin free for 6 months in exchange for weekly feedback calls and a commitment to share a testimonial if the product works for them. This is a true partnership — your feedback shapes the roadmap.
- Which specialties are supported first?
- Our initial focus is primary care (family medicine, internal medicine) and behavioral health (psychiatry, therapy). These specialties carry the heaviest documentation burden and have the lowest competitive intensity from enterprise scribes. All 12 specialty templates will be available by public launch.
- Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
- No. Design partners have no contract — just a simple agreement to provide feedback. After the design partner period, all plans are month-to-month (or annual with a 15% discount). You can cancel anytime.
- What if a patient doesn't consent to recording?
- ConvoClin enforces two-party consent universally — even in one-party consent states. The 'Start Recording' button is disabled until the patient explicitly consents (via digital QR-code signature or verbal attestation with audio capture).
